One off scenarios

I've been asked to pitch a few ideas for one off modules for a mini-rpg con/birthday event and while I have some ideas, I thought I'd ask for more.
Essentially the scenario should be something that can be played out in 3 hours (4 maximum) and allow for 4 characters.
Also, I'm not looking for AEGIS operatives. Mostly normal people in an extraordinary situation.

So far I've gotten a NCIS investigating an underwater lab with hybrid testing gone very wrong...

I came across two novels dealing with this:

James Rollins' Black Order which involves runes, Aryan Supermen/women/Knights of the Sun, instant/"quantum" evolution, SS history & interest in occult, modern descendants of the secret orders, and a covert DARPA field-op group. If you wanted to mix WC with ConX - all sorts of good stuff to borrow.

Okay, I bought the original Con X book back when it was out. Never got to play it with my group. Got out of the game, kept the book because I loved the concept so much. Torchwood/Big Events

The new Torchwood season started and it is rocking. Not spoil it but something really big happens world wide.

My question is what would happen to agencies in ConX if a big event happened and there is too many witnesses to cover up. What should happen next? Would AEGIS or NDD go public in an effort to lead the way?

On rpg.net someone described the Extraterrestrials Sourcebook as "It's the three original alien sourcebooks (Exodus, Atlantis Rising and Nemesis), updated, revised, with Unisystem rules, and new rules to play any of the alien races as player characters (just in case you want to play ConX from the other side of the fence). Ok, so it's a very old product now, for the old system, but...

I'm planning on running a campaign at the school I work in, and figured that Damage Control might be a good place to start for a taster. Reading through it again to refresh myself, I also refreshed the memory of something that puzzled me the first time I read it.

When the scenario is telling you about what the PCs find in each of the UFO group's homes, it refers to the results of a Df1, Df2 etc....

Went back to the bookstore where i bought AFMBE's entire book line for $5. STore was closed, the owner moved already.
The Store was unlocked with a sign saying "FREE BOOKS Take whatever you want".
I sifted through the books. Dozens and dozens of religious books mostly. Just as i was about to give up was a Copy of ConX Unisystem, and another ConX Gurps. So I took them...since they were FREE to anyone who wanted them. On my way out with the books I dumped into this 15...

During the game one of the players started making a list of all the factions they had encountered over the course of the campaign - for the most part it consisted of groups within Aegis and Black Book with some Dreamspeakers in the side.
One of the other players asked "Now who are the good guys?" to which the player answered "I don't think that there are any good or bad guys here. Hell, I'm not even sure we're the good guys any more"

I really like the Second Edition, though I only picked it up earlier this year... I've discovered that it is impossible (and by that I exclude the unreasonable cost of auction sites) to get hold of the only published supplement.

Are there any plans to do another print run?

It mentions on the webpage that there were plans to re-issue the old source books under the new edition... will that happen?

A very nice core book, but it could do with a bit more...
