I posted my first ever post to these boards yesterday asking if the City of Heroes RPG is dead (I think my exact words were "This is dead, ain't it")? In the City of Chirping Crickets thread- today both the thread and my question have been deleted. I kinda feel a bit aggrieved about this- I've lurked on this board ever since the RPG was announced, waiting eagerly for news about this game. No CoH/V related announcements, huh?

Looks like our new supers campaign will run on Mutants & Masterminds with homemade CoH setting instead of the canon setting.

If the book is really done, please put it on DriveThruRPG or something...

Powers Not Seen In COH, But In Comics...?

Hiya,

So I'm curious - will the game include the ability to have powers seen in comics, but not in the COH/COV game? I'm thinking of things like Stretching, Wall-Crawling, Growth, Shrinking... that sort of stuff. Or will characters be restricted to power sets only available in the games online?

Hello, I am a big fan of CoH, the MMO, the comic, all of it and I was just wondering if there was anything new to report about the game. Is it even still coming? As far as I see from the quickplay rules, it looks to be a spot on for the MMO, and it seems like a lot of research went into the game world, and I am eagerly awaiting this game. I am just hoping that someone will respond, as it seems the game is dead. Thank you for your time.

I remember there were a few published manuals for City of Heroes that included as a power for Tanks "Super Reflexes". Will this be in the game?

I'm very anxious to see this game in print. PDFS are nice but nothing beats the feel of a nice hardback in your hands while visiting relatives. I'm teaching a number of my English students here how to rp. Since they play the korean computer game of COH, I may use this set of books.

I heard a nasty rumor from one of the store owners that I play at that the RPG of City of Heroes is dead. I really, really hope this is a false rumor.

Is there any truth to this rumor? I, as everyone else, have been waiting patiently for this to come out. I will continue to wait...I am optimistic about it.

I got tired of seeing character waste points on Strength just to be "strong". So i came up with this to make truely Super-strong characters who do not deal out tons of damage, though they do more damage than normal.

Looking at the QUICK RULES that are available for download. I noticed something.

These Superheroes are not very SUPER to me so far.
No Lists of Real Superpowers to use like in Angel, Armageddon, and other games.

Is CoH the MMORPG really this lacking for powers ??
Bonuses to Strike, and Damage is one thing but thats all i see really as well as a few defensive one like Armor.

Were are the Cool Power Qualties so far ??
Can we have a cool Teaser soon for Power...

I know this will get some peoples backs up but I have to voice my concerns about the way Eden remove threads because of some perceived slate of their good name. The latest being the thread about the status of the game.

My understanding of what I read in that thread, were peoples opinions of the status of the game, information discussed Eden as a company were replies to freely available information on the forum, most of which were actually posted my Eden themselves. If you dont want...

Here is the current status of the game.

We were prepping to send the book to press but due to our recent financial crisis with the Buffy/Angel license - we had to hold up sending this book, as well as other books, to press to ensure prompt payment to FOX.

I know this upsets many people - as well as us - but this is the current status of the project.

When we have a futher update I will post it here...

Any one see the TV show that aired tonight called Heroes? If so what did you think of it. Me I enjoyed it, the show has me wanting to see what will happen next and there is a storyline there.

Would you consider making or having some generic enemy models made for the COH/COV franchise. They would be sweet as visuals, table top battles, and good, if not rabid sellability.

I would like to see some core longbow, arachnos, Skulls, Vas, Skulls, COT, COT, COT!!! Tsoo and COT factions.

I submit that a minis game would be the shiznits!!! Bring it out around christmas, and go get a bigger piggy bank.

My City of Heroes event did not happen. It was sold out, but only two people showed up and neither one was very enthusiastic about it.

And I don't blame them.

IF CoH gets on the shelves between now and next GenCon, I'll try to run it.

How is the "accuracy" rating on powers used? The example of combat doesn't mention it in the calculation for to-hit.

Damage is sometimes listed at something like 75/6. How is the second number listed after the slash used?
