Well. You could propose he leave the magic system itself alone, and just charge you 3xnew rank. That would be "fair", and you wouldn't be getting it for too cheap. Your first rank would be cheaper, but every rank thereafter would be more.1. 32. 63. 94. 12...

It sounds like you and I have a similar view, Darkholme. I don't know, I guess I'm just stuck trying to figure out why my GM would make the changes. Like you said, the price change is understandable, but all he has done with the magic system itself i...

The reason that they changed it wasn't a matter of balance, it was a matter of trying to match the magic as depicted in Buffy the Vampire slayer versus the magic in Ghosts of Albion. In buffy you cant cast as many spells, but the spells are much stronger,...

I guess that makes the price increase make some sense, but then, that was never really the part that troubled me. (Hell, I'm surprised the price increase wasn't part of the actual system). The thing that gets to me is screwing around with the functionalit...

Well, the no longer counting part is how it worked in buffy.

If he's using the standard pricing scheme for skills and attributes, I can see how he could consider Magic to be underpriced. The linear progression on qualities can make them seem ridiculous...
