Anyway, we started a new season last Wednesday. This time I'm playing and the other writer is GM'ing it. Its a one-year-later deal and the plotline is starting to get a little convoluted.

I also took the opportunity to update the pdf with the latest gear and setting info. Mainly the info on the new Colonial Alliance organisation. The source document was transferred to a different program which has a much more efficient PDF exporter and better layout features. This saved about 10 pages and reduced the PDF from 1 meg to 400k making for an easier download and print job.

We've started a complete re-write of the spaceship rules. Brad is planning on doing something in the style of the Angel organisation rules. I'm excited to see how this turns out as I gave up on my version which was a lot more detailed involved choosing individual subsystems for starship construction. This whole section is still in a state of flux but as a test we did stat up the Cape-Class Carrier Battlestar Galacti - er - Roarke's Drift.

While Brad's working on this I really need to go through the Character Creation and Equipment sections and do some editing to ensure that all the skill modifiers are correct and to make sure it all makes sense. Then its the turn of the Stellar Cartography section (not yet included in the PDF). This will eventully have descriptions of major and important planets/moons/stations. I'm tempted to add a star system creation system based on the GRAPH system used by the old Alternity game system by TSR.
