But there's so much greatness, so many incredible ideas, in the Cinematic books, how could the Cinematic books, regardless of systemic differences, possibly be useless?

I chalk it up to limited funds.
Buying a book that requires WORK to be able to use or buying a book that requires NO WORK to be able to use?
I choose the one that requires NO WORK.
I am also not a Buffy/Angel or City of Heroes fan, which decreases the value of Cinematic rules even further.

If I have to WORK to make a book FIT the Classic system then I will buy ANOTHER company's game and adapt it to Classic or just play that other system.
My buying anything EDEN is based upon it offering a painless attachment to AFMBE.
Otherwise it is just another book in competition with every other book in circulation.
Mutants and Masterminds for D20 is on my shelf as well.
If Beyond Human would not offer a painless add-on to AFMBE then I'll just stick with what I have...
As I already have 4 or 5 "Supers" games.
DC Heroes (Mayfair), Marvel Superheroes (TSR "FASErip version"), DC Universe (WEG), Mutants and Masterminds (Wizards' OGL) and even Superworld (One of Chaosium's Worlds of Wonder books using the old POW rulesystem...)

Suddenly Beyond Human's Cinematic focus becomes a detriment rather than a feature, as it'd be JUST another game with powerz...
And I have enough already.

EDIT: I forgot that I also have Aberrant...
