As far as i know, it is not a different set of rules, the differences are not the same that you see between one edition of AD&D and the other, but mroe like how different a AD&D 2nd edition game could be with some of the optional rules turned on or off.

My players would never give up rolling for damage, they can't go that far, at least not yet, but they are intrigued with how using cards instead of dice could work, we will probably test it out when we get a chance to play unisystem.

I am a kind of middle ground myself, i don't think cine skill list is enough but classic's is too big to my taste too, I love the mechanism drama points give the players to intefere on the storyline and like a lot how essence and spells interact.

My games would probably see a middle term unisystem with rules from one and the other version, but that is not so complicated as using a 2nd edition book in 3rd edition (AD&D) or changing your campaign from the Old WoD to the New one, in fact, the rules are completely different, they only share visual appearence (blame the sheet and general outline of the groups for that).
