SPARTAN-II
Unique Legendary Mundane Character Type
25 Attribute Points
20 Quality Points
35 Skill Points
40 Power Points
Must
buy
SPARTAN-II
and
MJOLNIR
Quality/Power (45 points total)
SPARTAN-II Soldier (15-point Quality)
Strength +3, Dexterity +3, Constitution +3,
Cyberware (3)*, Data Jack (2), Total Obligation (-3),
Danger Sense (2), Honorable (-2),
Natural Armor (2), Combat Experience (2)
Max Str/Dex/Con: 10/8/10
Max Hard to Kill: 10
*Cyberware bonuses to attributes are determined cumulative with the initial bonuses given by SPARTAN-II, though each +1 bonus from Cyberware must be assigned to a different attribute (be it Mental or Physical).
Suggested Additional Qualities:
Ambidextrous (3), Danger Sense (3-5), Good Luck (1-5), Hard to Kill (2-10), Jack of All Trades (3), Number One With A Bullet (1), True Grit (3)
May not purchase Supernatural Qualities or Abilities without approval.
MJOLNIR Mk. VI (30-point Power)
Powered Armor (+3)
Str +3*, Dex +2*, Target Link (+3), Motion Sensor (+1, 50-yard radius)
Suit: AV 44 (36 + (D8 x 2)), Dmg Cap 70 (+6**)
Shield: AV 30 (18 + (D8 x 3)) (+5)
Vacuum Sealed (+3), Bio Filter (+3; 5 hours of air), Flame Resistant (+1)
Additional features and upgrades sold separately.
MJOLNIR Armor's internal sensors record and account for environmental variables and weapon types, using up-to-the-moment data to plot an accurate target hit location. All military-grade and issued weapons are considered "jacked" for use with MJOLNIR Armor. *The artificial attribute bonuses gained increase the character's Speed, but not Life and Endurance point values. The exterior shell of MJOLNIR Armor is made of a composite material that protects much like the armor of military APC vehicles or tanks. The basic model MJOLNIR armor material protects like **12 mm (roughly one-half inch) of steel armor. The suit itself weighs in at a full ton when fully assembled, accounting for the calculated values of AV (thickness) and DC (weight). GM may alter cost, weight and effective thickness as needed, but it's your math.
Upgrades
- AICP, Armor/Shield Upgrade (noted below), Bio Filter Upgrade, Damage Resistant (+5, energy weapons do not halve armor in addition to listed effect), Flame Resistant (+3), Flight (+5/level, max level 3), Leaping (+3/level), Infravision, Speed Increase (+1 per +5 Speed) Starlight Vision (+2), Weapon Graft (close or ranged combat)
Special Note: Rank
- anyone who aspires to the coveted "Master Chief" position must realize that the rank/title is exclusive to the Navy and is at the top peak of Rank 2 (Chief Petty Officer), with a Master Chief's responsibilities and duties bordering respect of a level nearer Ensign (effective Rank 3). A Master Chief, regardless of level of respect, is the highest level one may reach as an enlisted soldier
and is subordinate to all actual officers
(Ensign or higher). Thus, Rank 2 is the highest level that may be purchased by a SPARTAN-II soldier, as there are no officers among their numbers and only one Spartan-II has ever achieved the rank of Master Chief.
Reference "Rank" - Conspiracy X Core Rulebook, page 73.
Special Note: Purchasing Armor and Shield Strengths
- Refer to the
Dermal Armor Errata
or the Zombie Aspect
Natural Armor
for point costs of one to four. Five points purchases equivalent to Class III armor (AV 30, as above). Six or more points purchases armor bonuses equivalent to 2 mm of steel armor per point, round fractions down to the nearest whole number, and should probably be carefully guarded at higher levels.
