Sure, you can assign a point maximum to a God's drawbacks but, really, what's the point? Whether making a custom deity or trying to stat out an existing one, you really just scan through the drawbacks list and just pick out the ones that are consistent in their personality--even a deity isn't going to have every drawback in the book, and 20+ points isn't a real issue when you're trying to throw down hundreds of points (most of which should be going into powers and such). You can't just throw down a few points in some jealousy based drawback because the god got ticked off one time, these drawbacks have to be truly characteristic (advice valid for all characters, not just gods). And, don't you ever consider giving a god Delusions of Grandeur... they're not delusions.

Other than that, one should look at the deity and attempt to reflect its personality as per any other character. Gods that are worthy of being statted are generally close to humans or their followers in personality and psychology so any drawback fits.

As for social drawbacks, that's kinda hard. Adversary (keeping in mind that a god is not going to be particularly intimidated or threatened by most foes), Notoriety (ConX), and Legacy (AF) are sorta appropriate, but only if they apply to the god's peers, i.e. other gods. Even then, you're not likely to suffer the burden of having too many drawbacks, especially not when made responsibly.

Clarity of purpose. Clarity of conscience.
