I was thinking about some shows that might provide good inspiration for Con X games. There's 4 I thought might be worth checking out:
ReGenesis: This show is about NorBAC, an organization formed to investigate questionable advances in biotechnology. This show from Canada has seen 2 seasons so far, with a 3rd due later this year.
Intelligence is about Canada's efforts to reorganize their version of the CIA into a true intelligence organization. The show features various police and government agents, as well as various informants (the show focuses on the head of the Vancouver OCU, who might be heading the West Coast branch of Canada's spy agency, and a local crime lord, who is one of her informants). More on the investigative side, and more character driven. Still, good inspiration.
Eleventh Hour, a four episode series featuring Patrick Stewart. He investigates scientific crimes, with a broader scope than the crew of ReGenesis. Good stories (though not very action oriented), and a great showcase for Stewart to show he's still the man.
The State Within, an excellent mini-series focusing on a conspiracy involving British Mercs in the US, poison gas, and a 3rd world dictatorship. The story revolves around the British Ambassador to the U.S. BBC America recently showed the mini-series. A good one for showing layers of conspiracy, and not knowing who is on what side.
