Yeah, this has been percolating for awhile. Years, in fact. The reason the novel came out is that there was no movement on the miniseries. I've yet to read the book, though I really want to, as a long time "V" fan. Sadly, however, as the months turn to years, I tend to doubt this will happen.

On the other hand, Sci Fi (owned by the same parent as NBC) is going to need a new gritty "Sci-Fi Original Series" to replace Battlestar Galactica after next year. Dare we hope?

Tells me I have no desire to watch this inevitable abortion. Even Battlestar Galactica was smart enough to Keep Glen Larson on board as a creative consultant.

If you want to see what V looks like without Kenneth Johnson, really, just watch V: the Series...or as I like to call it, "Dallas in Space."

V the Second Generation has been lauded and hailed by fans of the original miniseries as the sequel we've been waiting for since 1983. That the networks can crap on it in favor of this garbage is just further proof that Hollywood needs to take its finger out of its ass and find the pulse.
