Hi, I'm just curious as to which version of Unisystem this game uses?

Thank you. How does it compare to AFMBE as far as archetypes are concerned? Are the characters all survivor types?

The character are either Pre-Heroic or Heroic if normal people OR Neo-Talented or Talented if they have psychic abilities.
I would recommend reading the book as I doubt the powers that be would be impressed if we posted the contents of the book up here |

I'm just looking to see how compatible it is with other Classic Unisystem games. I expect the characters to be professionals, but I still want them to be
very human in abilities.

Like AFMBE, the standard starting points for ConX is 70, but the book offers options for bumping that number if you want.
The psychic/Seer powers are mechanically the same as WitchCraft, Armageddon, AFMBE, and Terra Primate. There are some new elements brought in from the original ConX game (ie Seepage), but bringing in individual Mundane or Survivor characters should mesh perfectly. ConX's magic system is distinctly different from other Unisystem games in that it is entirely based in rituals; it is a much less "spell slinger" style system and is quite a bit closer in tone to what X-Files showed than it is to WitchCraft. Hail to the Burger King, Baby! Ook! Ook! -Anastas "That's not school. That's Schoolhouse Rock." - Sam Winchester Going to war over religion is basically killing each other to see who has the better imaginary friend. - Richard Jeni USS Lynx | Currently Running: Shadowrun with Online Game Support |

Thank you Darius. I think my next purchase will be Conspiracy X. Classic Unisystem seems to fit extremely well the games I wish to play, and I've been
looking for a good spy/covert ops game as well.

Even without the rital magic aspect, this game has one of the most comprehensive background history I have ever come across - granted most of it is in the
first ed books. It is also very adaptable in terms of the type of game you want to play whether secret espionage to outright combat orientated story lines.

That's cool. I've been wanting to play a Syphon Filter (Playstation video game series) setting that's gritty and has a lot of cool spy stuff and
action, as I'm a big fan of that series. I would also like to do something like Splinter Cell, as well. But I couldn't find a good system (and I
greatly dislike D20) for it.

I agree. ConX is perfect for what you are talking about. Armed Forces for Armageddon might be a good book to pick up as well as it has a lot of military
hardware and rules for things like parachute jumps, high altitude climbing, submarines and SCUBA stuff and an extensive look at American military careers.
It's not the Heat, it's the Humanity.

Thank you, guys. ConX will definitely be my next purchase next payday. I will certainly check out the Armed Forces for Armageddon book--maybe even buy it at
the same time.
