OK, i was thinking awhile ago (within the last hour) about Spirit Patrons, and what could be done using them.
Then it occured to me. SHAZAM aka DC's Captain Marvel. He is a Spirit Patron character.
Captain Marvel had several Patrons however. Greco-Roman mythology all, expect one. See below...
Now this would make him a Powerful Spirit Patron character indeed, if you bought everything at levels to matach the comic character himself.
That is not too advisible.
Instead just base a character on this type...but with much lower levels to make it playable at Heo through Mythic levels.
Heck, a Character could do what Captain Marvel Jr recently did. Make it a central plot on gaining the Patrons favor and power.
Captain Marvel Jr's currently uses these :
I could go into Black Adam also, but i will not. Though he uses completly different gods based on Eygptian mythology.
Mary Marvel also i will not go into. She received her powers from females gods however. Later given Black Adams powers.
Now I would suggest starting with only One Spirit Patron. Then work towards gaining the others through adventure and roleplaying.
Better yet, start with None. Gain them all during play.
Also you could do a character in the vain of Captain Marvel by just focusing on a Single Spirit Patron. Say the Spirit Patron (Thor), like one of the examples in the armageddon book. Though I think it would cool to build a Patron Group (like Marvel) based on Norse Gods.
Thor (Strength & Power)
Odin (Wisdom & Magic)
Loki (Cunning)
Tyr (Courage & Justice)
Hemdiall (Perception & Loyality)
Volundr (Vengence & Forge)
Of course, its best to just use the Primal Power Aspects under the god in question and whichever powers you buy to possess for your character.
This way, your character can be more Avatar-like, but not needing the the bonding to a single god at birth.
??? OPINIONS ???

| S | for the wisdom of Solomon | As Captain Marvel, Billy has instant access to a vast amount of scholarly knowledge, including most known languages and sciences. The wisdom of Solomon also provides him with counsel and advice in times of need. In early Captain Marvel stories, Solomon's power also gave Marvel the ability to hypnotize people. (Note that Solomon is the only figure in the list not taken from Greco-Roman mythology). |
| H | for the strength of Hercules* | Hercules' power grants Captain Marvel immense superhuman strength, making him one of DC Comics' most physically powerful characters; he is able to easily bend steel, punch through walls and lift massive objects, (including whole continents like South America). |
| A | for the stamina of Atlas | Using Atlas' endurance, Captain Marvel can withstand and survive most types of extreme physical assaults. Additionally, he does not need to eat, sleep, or breathe and can survive unaided in space when in Captain Marvel form. |
| Z | for the power of Zeus | Zeus' power, besides fueling the magic thunderbolt that transforms Captain Marvel, also enhances Marvel's other physical and mental abilities, and grants him resistance against all magic spells and attacks. Marvel can use the lightning bolt as a weapon by dodging it and allowing it to strike an opponent or target. The magic lightning has several uses, such as creating apparatus, restoring damage done to Marvel and acting as fuel for magic spells. |
| A | for the courage of Achilles | This aspect gives Captain Marvel the courage of Achilles. In the Trials of Shazam! mini-series, this was changed to the Greek hero's near invulnerability. It also aids Captain Marvel's mental fortitude against most mental attacks. |
| M | for the speed of Mercury | By channeling Mercury's speed, Captain Marvel can move at superhuman speeds. This also gives Marvel the ability to fly to the Rock of Eternity by flying faster than the speed of light. |
