Why not? It's an honest question. It's listed as Q4, solicited through Diamond for December release, I've laid out my money for it, not sure why I'm not supposed to ask?

No. It really isn't. Every time someone comes around to ask this kind of thing, it turns into a huge fight because these things are delayed 99% of the time. As far as I'm concerned, you made a massive mistake by laying out money for a product that doesn't exist yet. I don't know where you see it listed, but that's a YEAR away!! George can't possibly know a release date right now.

All you're doing is stirring up yet another fight about the speed things get produced, and it's one I'm very tired of seeing.

Sorry I wasn't clear, scheduled for release in Q4 or December of 2010. So laying out the money a month in advance of that wasn't that big of a deal (the online comic store I order from works on a prepay system).

What company did you order from? I've been to several in the past few weeks and none have it listed as a product, let alone given a release date. Maybe that's something you should take up with the site you ordered from.

Since it was announced in August (i think) I doubt it will be out in 2011.

I ordered it through my comic store, who orders through Diamond Comics Previews, just like most other comic stores. It was solicited in the October Previews (as a Featured Item, order code OCT10 1770) for items scheduled to ship in December of 2010.

I've looked through all of Diamond's online material and cannot find a word about the Hack/Slash supposedly being released last year. If you CAN find it, please link us to it because otherwise you just look like a troll now.

My comic shop just received a cancellation from Diamond for the Hack/Slash card game. The official reasoning from Diamond is "DUE TO LATENESS".

Update - Eden will resolicit when it is ready to ship. Yay!

Realize that ALL unreleased Eden Productions stuff is essentially "vaporware" at this point.
Enjoy what has been out on the shelves without looking to supposedly "upcoming" stuff.
Most of it is on the most extremely slow boat to getting finished as the entire company at this point is one guy in his basement working on EVERYTHING in his spare time -- only some projects are still moving forward and even then its more on a geological timetable.
The RPG economy has nearly permanently derailed, making most companies locked into expending ALL resources towards merely surviving.
If the American people ever again find themselves with any sort of disposable income, most of these currently vaporware projects might be restored.
Finally, America's survival (and thus the RPG Industry's survival) rests upon voting as Liberal as possible... so if you vote Anti-American (AKA Conservative) you have nobody to blame but yourself for when the RPG Industry dries up and blows away in the new light breeze.

Update from James Lowder, editor of Hack/Slash...

Finally, Eden Studios tells me that the card game is moving forward again. I’ll share a date when it has been formally resolicited. Should be in the early spring, though.

Oh, and we’re also working with Eden to line up some special promo cards for the Hack/Slash card game. Possibilities include Tim’s other creator-owned characters, guest stars/crossover characters from the book, and allied characters such as Hoax Hunters. Any characters you’d particularly like to see as promo cards?

Last I heard, the RPG would come out after Beyond Human and I am working to get that finished before the end of the year, which is a year that included me getting married so things have been understandibly very delayed from the writing side. Still, light at the end of the tunnel and all that.
